Today marked a big step on our little farm—we officially introduced our young calf to its brand new stable! It’s always a special moment when our animals get settled into a space that’s safer, cleaner, and more comfortable, and today was no exception.
The weather was chilly and a bit muddy, but that didn’t dampen our spirits. With a bit of patience and a gentle pull on the chain, we guided our curious but hesitant calf into its new home. Like many young animals, the calf was unsure at first—nervously stepping forward, ears twitching and eyes wide. But eventually, with soft words and a few reassuring pats, the calf took its first confident steps into the stable.
The new setup is a big upgrade: fresh straw bedding, solid walls to shield from the wind, and proper ventilation to ensure good air quality. The stable sits near our hay storage, making feeding much easier and more efficient. Everything was designed with the calf’s comfort and health in mind.
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. It’s not just about farming—it’s about care, responsibility, and connection. Watching our animals grow in a secure environment gives us a deep sense of satisfaction and pride.
We’ll be monitoring the calf closely over the next few days to make sure it adjusts well to the new space. If today’s experience is any sign, we think our calf is going to thrive in its new home.
Stay tuned for more updates from the farm, and thank you for following our journey!
